U3A WELCOMES LEARNING REVOLUTION

The University of the Third Age today welcomed the launch of the government’s Learning Revolution.

“We have been proud to be associated with this project from the start” said U3A vice chairman Barbara Lewis.  “It will bring together providers of informal adult learning and thereby enhance what we are all doing.”

NOTE FOR EDITORS
The University of the Third Age was founded in 1982 to enable older people to organise their own learning.  It works on the self-help principle, and is run democratically by its members, with officers and a national executive elected at the annual general meeting.
